God's Blessing Me  

The Lord has and is still blessing me in so many ways. Since I have been a member at VCMI-DC, I have learned so much about the Word of God.  In October, I was in culinary school preparing to graduate.  I already passed Pre-finals, and before taking the Final tests that Friday, I spoke with my Pastor s and asked them to pray for me. I believe with prayer all things are possible.  I was a little worried about passing my test for school.  With the Pastor s praying for me and I being a believer who trust in Gods' Word, I was no longer worried and God blessed me. On Friday I passed the test with a 88% grade; one of the highest scores in the class. God is so great! He does miracles so great! Not only did he give me a passing grade on the first test, God gave me a 96% grade on the second test, and on the final exam he blessed me with a perfect score of 100%.  

Our Pastor s teach us to speak things as though they are.  God will give them to us. I have graduated with honors from my culinary class.  Man said I couldn't do it, but God said “yes”! I can do anything in his name if I only believe.  I give him all the PRAISE, GLORY, and HONOR.

How I beat the devil

In May, I was scheduled for my annual mammogram. I went in with a positive attitude. Once done, I had to wait for the technician to return. When you're waiting to hear news and you're alone, this is an opportunity for Satan to mess with you. He tried to mess with my mind, but I had something for him. I went into my purse and pulled out my weapon (a book on healing). I started reading each scripture and confessing them out loud. Suddenly, I felt a calmness come over me. I knew that I had beaten the devil. The technician returned and informed that more tests needed to be done and I remained calm. The technician complimented my attitude.

The Pastor taught that Sunday after my mammogram,” Confidence in the time of Trouble”. I listened to it everyday until the minute of my surgery

Surgery was scheduled for July 23rd. Everything went smoothly. The hospital staff was fantastic. I know that God appointed each staff member in place just for me. The same day surgery nurse was a former students' mom. She stated, “I wish that all my patients were like you.” She asked my secret, I said, "God, but he's no secret."  The result of my surgery: No Cancer! I had calcium build up and hat to undergo another surgery called “stereostatic”. The result of that surgery - No Cancer!

I thank God for my Pastor s and their obedience in following God's direction. I know that God was with me, my FAITH never wavered. I can't stop praying and studying the word. I must be equipped for the battle at all times.

God is Good  

For a year, my wife and I believed God for a vehicle.  We stood in faith (Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:10-12, Mark 9:23 & II Corinthians 9:7-12) believing that God was going to provide our need.  We decided not to take a car loan because that would affect our giving into the Kingdom of God .  We asked God for the grace to deal with one car until our manifestation appeared.     

In September, I accepted a speaking engagement at a local church.  When the service ended, a woman came to me in tears and expressed how much of a blessing the service was to her.  She thanked us for coming, but told us the ministry couldn't give a love offering.  I responded that I had come to give; not to receive.     

She replied that the Lord had placed on her heart to ask what I needed.  I stood there in shock, not knowing what to say.  I had told myself if anyone asked me that question, I would know what to say.  That time had come and I froze!!   

I told her we had one car and believing for the funds to repair it.  She said, “Put the car in the shop and I'll pay for it”.  The amount of the repairs was more than the car was worth.  I called and told her it wouldn't be a good idea to repair the car.  I thanked her and proceeded to end the call.   

Later I received an email entitled "Your Choice".  She sent a picture of a fully loaded Lexus ES300.  The salesperson said, “Mr. Smith I can tell this car has hardly been driven and the previous owner must have kept it in the garage.”  I loved it and was blown away with her generosity.         

The woman told me she had dreams and could not rest until she obeyed God.  She searched the internet until she found exactly what God had told her to get.  We were overwhelmed!!!    

The car was the exact make and model I desired. God Knows Exactly What We Want!  I drove away with a Lexus paid for, not one penny came from my pocket.  The shipping of the car, title, taxes, tags and an extended warranty were paid for.
